As a practicing attorney for over 28 years and over 15 years as a mediator, my practice areas are, Mediation, Family and Criminal Law, Contracts, Wills and Probate, Social Security Disability Law, and CPS (Child Protective Services) cases. My unique work background provides a wealth of experience for my clients.
I began my career as a Dallas Police Officer and later attended Southern Methodist University School of Law. Upon graduation I accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice Department at Midwestern State University and maintained a private practice while active in the Wichita County Bar Association and Crimestopper’s board.
I returned to DFW and gathered experience first as an Assistant District Attorney with the Dallas County DA’s office and later at the Texas Attorney General’s Office where I was an Assistant Attorney General and Managing Attorney in the Child Support Division. I then settled into private practice at Apple Norris & Fink, and later opened ANE Law Firm, P.C. in January 2011. I relocated back to Wichita Falls in Fall of 2016 and continue my law practice as ANE Law and Mediation Firm.
The experience I bring to my law practice is an invaluable asset in the areas of my practice. I am also a trained Mediator and Collaborative Law attorney. I seek the best possible solutions for each client, understanding that every legal situation is unique and cannot be handled in a “cookie-cutter” fashion.
I believe in giving back to the community and was a longtime volunteer Teen Court judge, Board member and former Chair of Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, former board member of the Coppell Chamber and a parent volunteer in school and scout activities.
I am an active member of the Texas State Bar, Family and ALR Section and the State Bar College. I am also a member of the Wichita County Bar Association and a volunteer at the Women’s Refuge as a Career Academy teacher and previously served as a board member with P.E.T.S.
